To your questions

What is your style?

For me, the perfect photo is not the one where you are all looking at the camera with forced smiles, but the one where you are in a tangle of arms and laughter, showing the essence of your family life. I tell the story of your family life and the ties that bind you.

To put you at ease and to document your family life, I let the desires of your baby/child be my guide. From time to time, I will give some instructions on how to use the best natural light and make you feel comfortable. But overall, I will take the time to let you be yourself in order to capture spontaneous and meaningful memories as the session unfolds.

What if our home is not perfect?

If your home doesn't look like it belongs in the pages of an interior design magazine, don't let an in-home photo shoot deter you. Over the past ten years, I've photographed families in homes of all shapes, sizes, and decorating styles - including small apartments . I can create beautiful stories in any home and in any lighting condition, because I believe that beauty and light are everywhere if you look for them. Your home is your safe place and the foundation of your children's memories, so it is the most natural setting for your photo shoot.

What should we wear?

Your personal style is who you are, so dress for the shoot the way you feel most comfortable. It is important to look at the photos and see you and your children as you really were all those years ago, rather than people dressed for the occasion.
If you want the photos to have a harmonious aesthetic, you can think about matching your colours and shades of your family's clothing. A simple and effective rule of thumb is to co-ordinate but not match. Go for sober, pastel colors and avoid patterns.

Where and when will the photo session take place?

The session will take place at your home or outside, in a place where you like to spend time with your family and where you feel really comfortable. We can think together about a location that suits you, whether it's urban or in a more natural environment.

It is important that everyone, especially babies and young children, be well rested and fed before the session. I recommend doing the shoot after nap time so that we can spend some quality time together.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Before your session, I will keep a close eye on the weather forecast. If the weather looks rainy, we have a few options:

Change the location of the session to your home and stay warm and dry indoors.
Make it an event - think rubber boots and puddle jumping!

If you really want outdoor photos, but the weather is very wet, I am more than happy to reschedule another date (please note that this is dependent on my availability and you may have to wait a few weeks).
Don't worry if the day turns out to be gray and cloudy. Overcast skies produce a beautiful soft light that is very flattering.
