Annabelle and Etienne called on my photography services for their wedding in an old barn at the Domaine de La Drille au bord de l’eau in Alsace. Winter weddings are less successful than those celebrated during the summer. But believe me, winter weddings also have their advantages.
First of all, when you get married in winter, the expectation of the weather is much lower. The only thing we can wish for is snow to have a fairy-like setting.
I would characterize the light in winter as softer and allows the session to be done at any time of the day.
The wedding celebration took place in the beautiful city of Colmar in the Haut-Rhin in Alsace.
Once the young couple was married, we went to the Domaine de la Drille au bord de l’eau to celebrate their wedding.
Annabelle & Etienne decided to have a giant raclette party with their guests. Each guest received a raclette machine that heats by candlelight, as well as a personalized spatula with the wedding logo. A brilliant idea that the couple had to celebrate their wedding.
On the other hand, A & E had an incredible talent to decorate their wedding room and put all their heart to give a cosy, warm side. A great success.
The evening was embellished with games that the witnesses had prepared beforehand in honor of the bride and groom.
